JL Gaspar brings Filipino representation to K-pop group AHOF

Rising global boy group AHOF, short for “All-time Hall Of Famer,” has been tapped as youth ambassadors of a major health and wellness brand, a move that also shines a spotlight on Filipino member Jaw Lawrence “JL” Gaspar and his journey from local pop act to the international stage.
Gaspar, who hails from Muntinlupa, first debuted in 2023 as part of the P-pop group PLUUS before entering the South Korean survival show “Universe League,” where he emerged as the overall winner.
The Filipino performer topped the finals with over 3 million votes, becoming the only Filipino contestant to clinch first place and secure a spot in AHOF’s final lineup.
Formed through the same show, AHOF officially debuted in July 2025 with their first mini-album “Who We Are.” The nine-member group includes Steven, Jeongwoo, Woongki, Shuaibo, Han, JL, Juwon, Chih En, and Daisuke.

The boy group’s debut track “Rendezvous” gained popularity online and drew support from Filipino fans, helping the group secure early music show wins, which is an uncommon feat for rookies.
AHOF is known for their songs “The Universe,” “Incompleted,” and “The Little Star.” The group also recently released their second mini-album, “The Passage.”
“The partnership works because it’s rooted in shared values, not surface-level branding,” said the company. “AHOF are not only global artists, but symbols of ambition, resilience, and transformation.”
The collaboration highlights Gaspar’s story. From a Filipino trainee topping a global survival show to navigating Korea’s idol system, his story resonates with fans back home who have followed his transition from P-pop to K-pop. /mcm
