Miss Universe Philippines 2026: First 10 semifinalists revealed in Misamis Occidental

MISAMIS OCCIDENTAL, Philippines — The competition is getting tighter for the 2026 Miss Universe Philippines crown as the first 10 ladies received guaranteed semifinal slots.
They were revealed at “The Main Event” mounted at the Bayfront Arena in Oroquieta City in the province of Misamis Occidental on Saturday evening, April 25, where all the 50 delegates paraded in swimwear and in creations of Mindanaoan fashion designers.
Here are the 10 early semifinalists:

- Quezon Province (Filipino Society of Australia), Ella Evangelista
- Ilocos Norte (Filipino Society of Hawaii), Cherieze Cacayorin
- Sultan Kudarat, Jenrose Javier
- Pangasinan, Donna Rein Nuguid
- Cavite, Jencel Caña
- Negros Occidental, Alexandria Colmenares
- Mountain Province, Lyneree Montero-Yodong
- Tandag City, Chrsytel Mae Correos
- San Jose, Negros Oriental (Filipino Society of Bellevue, Washington), Jayka Munsayac
These 10 delegates amassed the most votes during the third round of online voting for swimsuit conducted from April 19 to 25 on Maya. Only the 31 candidates who hurdled the second round of voting for interview were included in the recent poll.
Five “Gems of Misamis Occidental” were also announced. The main winner, dubbed Asenso Ambassadress of Goodwill, was Nicole Borromeo of Cebu Province.
Her runners-up were Asenso Ambassadress of Health Erica Cadayday of Camiguin, Asenso Ambassadress of Social Services Jacqueline Aluning of Nueva Vizcaya and the Filipino Society of Washington, Asenso Ambassadress of Education Clarissa Westram of Cotabato, and Asenso Ambassadress of Agriculture Trexy Roxas of Iligan City.
The field started with 50 delegates during the first week of voting for the evening gown segment. Ten ladies were “eliminated” at the end of the period and proceeded to the interview round.
But those who did not make it to the initial roster of 10 semifinalists revealed in Oroquieta City still have a chance to move on, and all the delegates will still appear at the final competition.
From the remaining 21 delegates who made it to the third round of voting, the 10 with the highest scores from the selection committee will also move on to the semifinals.
Five more wild card picks and five brand award winners will also be included in the semifinals, which means that the competition will have a total of 30 semifinalists on coronation day.
The 2026 Miss Universe Philippines coronation show will take place at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City on May 2. Reigning queen Ahtisa Manalo will crown her successor at the end of the ceremonies.
