Miguel Tanfelix ‘not in a rush’ to marry GF Ysabel Ortega
Miguel Tanfelix said he is “not in a rush” to settle down with girlfriend Ysabel Ortega, as their priority right now is to “complete” themselves and mature individually.
Tanfelix described his three-year romance with Ortega as “very stable” after he was asked about the current state of their relationship during a recent guest appearance on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda.”
“Very stable kami ngayon. We’re very happy. Sobrang love ko si Ysabel,” the actor expressed. (We are very stable now. We’re very happy. I love Ysabel so much.)
Tanfelix added that while their relationship is strong, they are prioritizing personal growth before taking the next step.
“Para sa amin, mas pinapayaman muna namin ‘yung sarili naming karanasan. Siguro mas pinapa-mature muna namin ang isa’t isa bago kami mag-step forward. Kasi naniniwala kami na kailangang buo muna kami,” he explained.
(For us, we enrich our own experience first. Maybe we make each other mature before we step forward. Because we believe that we have to be whole first.)

Tanfelix said that while marriage has been part of their discussions, settling down is not happening anytime soon for them.
“Ako, ang sinasagot ko mga early to mid-30s. Matagal-tagal pa. Marami pa kailangang gawin,” he added. (Me, I’m answering early to mid-30s. Still a long way to go. Still a lot to do.)
Tanfelix and Ortega first developed a close bond while working together on the 2023 live-action series “Voltes V: Legacy.” In December 2023, they confirmed that they were exclusively dating.
While enjoying his relationship with Ortega, Tanfelix remains busy with his career. He is set to appear in the five-part magazine infotainment special “Planet XP,” his first solo hosting stint, and will also star in the upcoming GMA series “Firewall.” /ra
