Mark Herras says crying video due to marital problem, not financial issue

Mark Herras addressed his viral video where he was seen bursting into tears, clarifying that he was emotional at the time due to a marital problem and not because he was financially distressed.
The actor sparked concern among fans and fellow celebrities in February after he shared on his Instagram page a clip of him alone in a room, smoking and then breaking down.
Herras was asked about the matter during his “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” interview on Friday, April 17.
“Wala siyang koneksyon with money, with work. It was a personal issue,” the actor explained. “Kailangan ko siyang gawin, i-post just to vent out.”
(It had nothing to do with money or work. It was a personal issue. I needed to do it, to post it just o vent.)
The actor cited his depression as the reason why he needed to express his emotions, and stressed that he did not share his video to get sympathy from other people.
“Nung nangyari ‘yun, nagkaroon kami ng away ni misis,” he recalled, referring to his wife Nicole Donesa. (When that happened, my wife and I had a misunderstanding.)
At the time, Herras said he was about to head out to prevent their misunderstanding from further escalating. But when he was preparing to go, he became emotional as he was suddenly reminded of his children Corky and Mija, realizing that he would not want to spend time apart from them.
“Kinailangan ko lang mag-vent out para hindi ako ma-lost o sumabog,” he reiterated, also expressing his gratitude to his fellow celebrities who offered comfort. (I needed to vent out or else I would have lost myself or exploded.)
He then lamented how some jumped into conclusions and linked his crying video to his past issues.
During the interview, Herras also opened up about his marriage and confessed that he would often block Donesa on his social media pages whenever they had a misunderstanding.
But he noted, “Malaking factor sa amin ni Nicole ‘yung buo ‘yung pamilya para sa mga bata,” quashing separation rumors. (Having a complete family for the kids is very important for me and Nicole.) /ra
