BINI Jhoanna, SB19 Stell take part in short film

Jhoanna Robles of BINI and Stell Ajero of SB19, recently took part in a short film that pays tribute to the role of sari-sari stores in Filipino communities.
The tribute film, titled “Pangalan,” is the latest and final installment of a supermarket chain’s series spotlighting everyday Filipino stories, this time focusing on how small neighborhood shops serve not just as retail spaces but as vital community hubs.
Jhoanna and Stell, joined by rapper Skusta Clee, appeared in the project to share personal reflections tied to sari-sari stores, highlighting the cultural familiarity of such go-to spots for daily essentials and casual gatherings.
The final installment came after tribute series “Ways,” “The Sign,” and “The Witness,” which highlights the supermarket chain’s commitment to spotlighting the role of enterprises for Filipino neighborhoods.
Jhoanna’s appearance in the project comes as BINI continues its global rise, recently making headlines for its participation in Coachella 2026, as they became the first all-Filipino girl group to perform on the international stage.
Meanwhile, Stell’s involvement follows a major achievement for SB19, which is also set to make history as the first Filipino boy group to perform at Lollapalooza 2026 in Chicago, from July 30 to August 2. /edv
