Awra Briguela rushes self to ER after severe stomach pain, vomiting

Awra Briguela managed to bring herself to the emergency room after experiencing severe stomach pain and continuous vomiting. 

Briguela took to Instagram Story on Tuesday, April 14, to share a photo of herself lying in a hospital bed as she informed her supporters about what happened to her. 

“Tinakbo ko sarili ko sa emergency room kasi nagising ako na sobrang sakit ng tiyan ko (I rushed myself to the ER because I woke up with severe stomach pain) and I kept vomiting yellow bile,” she narrated. 

“It was around 8:30 a.m., and I tried to endure it until 10 a.m., but I really couldn’t take it anymore because I had been in the bathroom for almost an hour, continuously vomiting yellow acid,” continued the social media personality. 

The former child star further said that she felt like she was about to lose consciousness due to the pain and was worried because she was alone in her condominium at the time.

“Mag-isa lang ako that time kasi mag-isa lang ako sa condo, pero buti na lang sumunod yung mama ko. Hindi na rin ako nakapag-reply sa family ko kung nasaan ako, good thing na-locate nila ako through Find My,” she recalled.

(I was alone at that time because I live alone in my condo, but thankfully my mom followed. I wasn’t able to reply to my family about where I was, but good thing they located me through Find My.) 

Briguela said that laboratory results later showed that she was suffering from acute gastroenteritis with mild to moderate dehydration. 

“Probably from not eating properly these past few days (just black Americano) and not drinking enough water,” continued the child star. 

The social media influencer said she nearly got confined to the hospital, but all test results later turned out normal. 

“I almost got confined because I kept asking for pain relievers, and the stomach pain still didn’t go away for hours, but thankfully all the results were normal. I’m okay now, just need to rest, fix my eating, and take my meds,” she concluded. 

Briguela, who goes by the pronouns she/her, had previously been the subject of headlines after she faced “misgendering” remarks from netizens.
