BINI Sheena longs for late mom after historic Coachella debut

Sheena Catacutan of P-pop girl group BINI became emotional as she remembered her late mother following the group’s historic performance at Coachella 2026.
Catacutan recently shared a message on Instagram Story dedicated to her mother, Angelyn, whom she described as her “number one fan.”
“Oh Lord, I’m missing her so much,” Catacutan wrote alongside an old video of them doing skin care preps. “I’m so sure na she would’ve risked everything just to fly here and watch her bebe perform live at Coachella.”
Catacutan said that while she takes comfort in knowing her mother is watching over her, her absence during an important milestone still pains her.

“I know na you’re always watching from above, but it still hurts to not see you or even hear your voice to say your good luck and I love you sa akin. Mas masakit kasi this has always been our dream, together,” continued the singer.
“I hope I’m making you proud, Mommy. I pray to God that you have found peace and rest wherever you are right now, Mommy. I love you, mommy ko, I’m doing all of this for you,” she concluded.
Catacutan’s mother died in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. The singer’s life and struggles following the passing of her mother was previously featured in a special episode of “Maalaala Mo Kaya” (MMK) last year.
Last weekend, BINI raised the Philippine flag high as they delivered a high-energy performance at Coachella 2026, making history as the first Filipino act to take the international stage.
BINI is set to grace the Coachella stage again for the festival’s second week on April 17 (April 18 in the Philippines). The performance is free to watch on Coachella’s official YouTube channel.
The all-Filipino girl group previously generated over 1 million mentions and 4 million engagements on X (formerly Twitter) alone following their historic debut at Coachella. /edv
