BINI stuns Coachella crowd with high-energy historic debut set

P-pop girl group BINI raised the Philippine flag high as they delivered a high-energy performance at Coachella 2026, marking a historic milestone as the first Filipino act to take the stage at the globally renowned music festival.
The eight-member group opened their week 1 set on Friday, April 10, (April 11 in the Philippines) in Indio, California, with their Filipino chant game-inspired song “Shagidi,” immediately setting the tone with their commanding stage presence.
BINI stunned with their striking gold outfits with “salakot,” a traditional headgear in the Philippines, before changing into their beaded, bikini-like, calm sea-inspired costumes as they followed up their setlist with “Zero Pressure” and “Out of My Head.”
The high-energy momentum continued with fan-favorite tracks “Karera” and “Salamin Salamin,” drawing loud cheers from the international crowd. BINI maintained the energy with “Blink Twice” and “Cherry on Top,” blending catchy pop hooks with synchronized dance routines.
Midway through the set, the group shifted into a more sexy and vibrant mood with their latest single, “Blush,” and the summer song “Bikini,” further engaging festivalgoers with their charisma.
At one point during the set, member Mikha taught the crowd to say the famous Filipino expression “ey” to check the crowd’s energy. The group also made it a point to always utter Filipino words such as “Mabuhay” and “Salamat po” during their short talk.
BINI closed their 45-minute set with their breakout hit “Pantropiko,” turning the venue into a lively, tropical-inspired space. The finale capped off the girls’ historic Coachella debut.
BINI is set to take the Coachella stage once more for the festival’s second week on April 17 (April 18 in the Philippines). The performance will be livestreamed again on Coachella’s official YouTube channel.
Meanwhile, hours before they stood on the Coachella stage, BINI was announced as one of the awardees of Billboard US. They were named Global Force honorees. The female octet will be recognized at the Hollywood Palladium on April 29. /ra
