Imelda Schweighart announced as Miss Grand International All Stars candidate
Miss Grand International (MGI) announced Imelda Schweighart as one of the candidates of its All Stars edition, which came amid the beauty queen’s rumored removal from the 2026 Miss Universe Philippines competition.
MGI made the announcement via its social media pages on Monday, April 6, describing Schweighart as a “legendary multi-hyphenate and a true icon of her generation.”
The global pageant also listed Schweighart’s achievements including winning a national crown at 15 years old, and being a “professionally trained actress, a prolific singer-songwriter, music producer, and visionary entrepreneur.” MGI noted Schweighart’s 2016 Miss Earth stint as well.
“Her journey is defined by resilience, individuality, and authenticity. Known for her unapologetic spirit and editorial edge, Imelda brings a lifetime of stage mastery to the global spotlight — reminding the world that icons aren’t born, they are made,” MGI stated.
“Beyond the crown, Imelda continues to captivate audiences worldwide through her artistry, influence, and fearless self-expression. A true All-Star — bold, iconic, and impossible to ignore,” it added.
Aside from Schweighart, other Filipino beauty queens who have joined MGI All Stars are Gazini Ganados, Fuschia Anne Ravena, Alexia Nuñez and Keylyn Trajano.

The MUPH organization has yet to issue an official statement on Schweighart’s participation in the competition, as of writing.
The national pageant organization earlier announced that it no longer allowed an unnamed delegate to compete after “certain behaviors continued in ways that were not aligned with the standards [they] aim to uphold.”
Many speculated that it was Kalibo, Aklan’s representative Schweighart, but MUPH insiders denied this. However, the speculation lingered as Schweighart has been noticeably absent from the promotions and activities of the MUPH delegates.
Schweighart was also not present at the recent preliminary evening gown competition. /ra
