Andrea Brillantes, Criza Taa spark friendship reconciliation after birthday photos

Andrea Brillantes and Criza Taa appeared to have rekindled their friendship after the latter attended the former’s recent 23rd birthday celebration.
Taa took to her Instagram Story on Wednesday, March 23, to share her photo with Brillantes inside a photo booth. She also shared a short clip featuring behind-the-scenes moments where they happily posed before giving each other a kiss on the cheek.
The two are part of the so-called “ABCD Girls,” a Gen Z friend group formed alongside Bea Borres and Danica Ontengco after working together in the 2018 series “Kadenang Ginto.” Speculation about tension within the group surfaced in 2024 when fans noticed Taa’s absence from the girls’ gathering.

Last year, Taa revealed in an interview with Toni Gonzaga that the group had a falling out, the cause of which she could not identify.
“Hindi ko rin po alam kung ano ang pinaka-main reason [because] we haven’t really talked about it po. Siguro parang we’re just not on the same wavelength at that time,” she explained.
Taa stressed that while they are still friends, they can’t really say if they are still as close as before.
“Hindi ko na po masasabing as close as before pero okay naman po kami. Siguro may mga ganu’n lang po talagang friendship na it’s not meant to last. Parang bigla na lang pong nawala,” she said.
The pair were later seen together that year at a party, but this marked the first time that Taa posted a picture with Brillantes on her social media account. It’s not immediately known if Taa has also reconciled with Borres and Ontengco. /ra
