Dylan Menor thrilled to be part of Hollywood film ‘The Last Resort’

Dylan Menor is beyond thrilled to experience working in the upcoming Hollywood film “The Last Resort,” starring Daisy Ridley and Alden Ehrenreich, who are both known for their respective roles in the “Star Wars” franchise.
During the March 14 taping of the OPW countdown show “Vibe PH,” Menor talked about his experience as one of the Filipino actors who were given a chance to star in the upcoming romantic comedy film.
“It’s a dream come true. To be working with Donald, who directed ‘How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.’ My role is that I’m the son of the owner of a real estate company. This was shot more than a year ago, and I think their target is to release it this year,” he told select media.
Menor said that he can’t spoil anything about the project but one of the scenes his fans can look forward to from the movie is when he sang and danced on a yacht.
The “Vibe PH” jockey stated that he’s also looking forward to attending the red carpet abroad if he would ever be invited to join.
“The Last Resort” follows Brooke (Ridley), an heir to her father’s hotel empire, who is tasked with scouting a new resort location in the Philippines, where she meets Ben (Ehrenreich), a pilot who helps her discover the country’s beauty.
Aside from Menor, the film also features Mylene Dizon, Tetchie Agbayani, Tonton Gutierrez, and Filipino-American actress Tia Carrere, among others.
Meanwhile, Menor has recently wrapped up the filming of his first television lead role in the upcoming series adaptation of the Wattpad hit mystery crime thriller novel “Project Loki.”
The series, which is directed by actor Xian Lim and is expected to air sometime this year, brings Menor to the forefront of the story alongside Marco Gallo and Jayda Avanzado as it follows the trio on a mystery-solving mission.
When asked about his experience working with Avanzado and Lim, Menor had nothing but good things to say about the duo.
“I didn’t have a hard time connecting with her. She’s very professional, especially when it comes to taping. When we’re on-cam, we’re always in character. So, I’m very thankful for that,” he said, talking about Jayda, who’s the daughter of celebrity couple Jessa Zaragoza and Dingdong Avanzado.
“With Direk Xian, all of the things he learned in his craft, all of his experiences , he shares with Jayda and me, and with everyone. He’s very generous in giving tips and advice. At the same time, he also allows us to have freedom with our own characters,” Menor added.
Meanwhile, “Vibe PH” is currently the biggest OPM music countdown in the Philippines. It is hosted by Menor alongside other video jockeys Elijah Canlas, Ana Ramsey, Queenay Mercado, Maxie Andreison, Joao Constancia, Paulo Angeles, Ryle Santiago, and Kych Mimemoto. /edv
