Macoy Dubs open to acting projects amid success of podcast ‘Dogshow Divas’

Content creator Mark Averilla, popularly known as Macoy Dubs, expressed his interest in entering the showbiz industry as he currently delights in the success of his podcast “Dogshow Divas.”
Macoy expressed his enthusiasm to welcome acting projects in the future when asked by select media during the launch of the nationwide sensitivity awareness and denture care program on Friday, March 13, in Taguig City, where he served as one of the hosts alongside comedian Tuesday Vargas.
“In show biz, there’s no small or big role. If given a chance na mapunta sa acting, bakit hindi diba? (to act, why not, right?) Papasukin din natin siya (We will enter it too) eventually,” he said.
The social media influencer shared that should the opportunity arise, he would love to work with his ’90s idols Jolina Magdangal and Dimples Romana.
Macoy has been a content creator for 10 years, and he is now in the spotlight following the success of his podcast “Dogshow Divas,” which he co-hosts with fellow content creator and real-life friend Baus Rufo.
The internet personality admitted that he did not expect the warm reception that the podcast has received and he is very grateful for it.

When asked what he thinks is the secret behind the podcast’s success, Macoy said it is probably due to its spontaneity.
(If you listen to our podcast, we’re like two friends on a street corner drinking alcohol, and the topic just flows freely. That’s what we Filipinos are looking for, right? The humor, the lightness, especially now that a lot is happening in the world, so we just want to be happy, right? Happy, but still with a sense, without straying too far from reality.)
Meanwhile, the Philippine Dental Association (PDA), Philippine Association of Registered Dental Technologists (PARDTI), and leading oral health care brands Sensodyne and Polident have launched “Ngiting Tagumpay,” a nationwide oral health advocacy that aims to empower Filipinos to better understand and address common dental issues such as tooth sensitivity and tooth loss.
Launched ahead of World Oral Health Day, Ngiting Tagumpay will travel to major cities across the country to offer free dental consultations, oral health education, and essential procedures. The program will also provide 1,500 free dentures to beneficiaries. /ra
