‘TiktoClock’ contestant faints on stage mid-performance

The “Tanghalan ng Kampeon” segment of the noontime program “TiktoClock” was cut short on Tuesday, March 10, after contestant Eula Bautista passed out while performing live.
Bautista, the seven-time defending champion in the contest, looked well and was even smiling when she entered the stage to sing Dianne Reeves’ “Better Days.” However, when she was belting out the high notes of the track, she suddenly lost consciousness and collapsed on the stage.

Daryl Ong, one of the judges, immediately rushed to check on her along with the production staff. The show went on a commercial break as the staff attended to Bautista.
“Nagkaroon po ng emergency dito sa studio. Hinimitay ang kampeon na si Eula Bautista,” show host Kim Atienza said when the program returned.
“Kinailangan nating mag-commercial break para matugunan ng ating medical personnel si Eula. Sa ngayon, kasulukuyan pong inooobserbahan ng ating medical team ang kalagayan ni Eula,” he added.

Renz Verano, who is also part of the panel of judges, said they will decide on how the contest will proceed and announce it on Wednesday, March 11.
“Sa ngayon, ang priority po natin ay ‘yung kalusugan ni Eula. We’re hoping and praying na okay siya,” Verano underscored. (For now, our priority is Eula’s health. We’re hoping and praying that she’s okay.)

Atienza then vowed to the viewers to give an update on Eula, while also appealing for prayers for the singer.
“Samahan niyo po kaming magdasal na maging ligtas si Eula at sana ay walang seryosong nangyari sa kanya,” he added. (Please join us in praying that Eula will be safe and that nothing serious happened to her.) /edv
