Louise delos Reyes laments family falling victim to scam

Louise delos Reyes reminded the public to be vigilant on social media, as she shared how a member of their family was recently victimized by scammers.
The actress issued a warning via her Instagram page on Friday, Feb. 13, while narrating the encounter the unnamed family member had with the scammers.
Based on the screenshots shared by delos Reyes, the scammers used a fake page named after a luxury wellness resort, to which the victim sent an inquiry. The victim apparently sent money to the bank account provided by the scammers.
“This is a serious problem, especially for older people who have limited access to other platforms and are more gullible about what thay see online, particularly on Facebook,” Delos Reyes said.
“They are more susceptible to these kinds of manipulation and scams. As a community, we can only do so much to protect our parents, titos, titas, lolos, and lolas,” she continued.
Delos Reyes then expressed hopes for the public to expose modus such as this to prevent others from falling victim to it.
“I hope no one else’s parents have to experience this,” she said.
