Jericho Rosales denies snubbing Kim Chiu on ‘It’s Showtime’ while promoting film
Jericho Rosales debunked rumors that he ignored Kim Chiu during his recent guest appearance on “It’s Showtime” to promote his new film “The Loved One” opposite Anne Curtis.
Rosales graced a special block screening of his new movie at the newly renovated cinemas in San Lazaro, Manila, on Thursday, Feb. 12, where he was asked about the alleged snubbing between him and Chiu.
“I don’t really know what happened there. She was the first one I greeted. She said hi to me. I woke up and may ganong balita. I had to text her. I said, ‘Hi Kim. What’s happening? Why is this happening? Are you okay? Is there something that made you uncomfortable?’ She replied to me, ‘Wala naman. All is well. Congrats sa movie,'” shared the actor.
Netizens reacted when they noticed that Rosales allegedly skipped Chiu when he was greeting the hosts during the Feb. 11 episode of “It’s Showtime.” In the clip, the actor gave “beso” and hugs to the hosts. On the other side, where most of the male hosts were standing next to Chiu, Rosales gave them a bow instead.

During the spiel, Chiu said that Rosales’ greeting to the audience was “echoing” in the studio, a nod to his nickname Echo. The actor acknowledged Chiu’s remarks as he also thanked her for welcoming him back to “It’s Showtime.”
Chiu then asked the actor what viewers could look forward to in his reunion film with Curtis, to which he jokingly replied “wala lang (nothing),” which fans also pointed out as part of the alleged snub.
Rosales and Chiu previously made headlines after they were spotted attending an intimate birthday party alongside their partners, Janine Gutierrez and Paulo Avelino, respectively.
Avelino and Gutierrez briefly dated in 2022. Gutierrez is now dating Rosales. Avelino, on the other hand, is rumored to have been dating Chiu amid their on-screen partnership. However, the two have yet to confirm or deny the rumors. /ra
