Rhian Ramos’ mother criticizes VACC for supporting ‘lying thief’ driver vs daughter

Clara Ramos, the mother of actress Rhian Ramos, has criticized the Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption (VACC) for supporting her daughter’s personal driver who accused Rhian, Michelle Dee and Samantha Panlilio of torture and illegal detention.
Clara took to her personal Instagram account on Monday, Feb. 2, to question VACC’s decision to back the driver, whom she accused of spreading unverified claims through multiple interviews.
“I don’t understand VACC’s support for a lying thief,” she wrote. “Nagpa-interview pa left and right, dishing out unverified information. It has helped fuel this social media frenzy, leaving the ones stolen from and betrayed to be victimized even more by depraved imaginations, with stories morphing like cancer.”
The celebrity mom expressed frustration over the online backlash directed at her daughter, whom she said was being attacked for acts she did not commit.
“Watching the internet tear my daughter apart for things she didn’t do. She doesn’t deserve this,” she lamented. “Sure, through the years, we know bashers will bash, but this? This is brutal, and whoever’s running this show is sick!”

VACC President Arsenio “Boy” Evangelista responded to Ramos’ mother by expressing that he sympathizes with the mothers’ sentiments, including Dee’s mom, Melanie Marquez, who earlier said that the driver’s agenda is to “blackmail” the girls.
“I fully sympathize with the parents; I cry for them,” said Evangelista. “But it is my duty to speak for someone who has no capacity, not financially equipped, to get a lawyer.”
Ramos, Dee and Panlilio have been making headlines after they were accused by the actress’ driver, identified by the alias “Totoy,” of physical assault, torture and illegal detention.
Totoy allegedly stole an angpao containing “sensitive” photos owned by Dee, which allegedly led to his detention in the condominium unit shared by Rhian and the beauty queen.
Rhian, Dee and Panlilio have denied the allegations. Dee filed a blotter report against the driver. No formal complaint has been filed yet against the three women. The actresses’ lawyer said they are eyeing filing libel and perjury complaints against Totoy. /ra
