Alias “Totoy,” the driver of actress Rhian Ramos who accused her, Michelle Dee and Samantha Panlilio of mauling him, claimed that he was advised not to speak about the incident involving the female celebrities and that he was allegedly assaulted at the police station.

In this video captured by INQUIRER.net, Totoy narrated before the National Bureau of Investigation the sequence of events that began in the early morning of January 17.

His ordeal stemmed from a missing film roll containing sensitive photographs of Dee that he was being accused of stealing. For this, he was separately charged with qualified theft before the Makati Prosecutor’s Office, but the case was subsequently dismissed for “lack of basis.”

But in his testimony before the NBI, Totoy said that not only was he mauled by his employer (Ramos) and her friends and bodyguard, he was also allegedly physically abused by two Makati policemen while he was temporarily detained there.

Worse, the policemen even advised him not to disclose that he was beaten up, supposedly in order to hasten the proceedings.

Totoy said that the beating began in the wee hours of January 17 as soon as he and Ramos arrived from taping. The alleged torture would continue until morning of January 18. It was on this day that three lawyers arrived at the unit and asked him again to surrender the film roll.

Alleged abuse in hands of Makati cops

The driver then claimed that he was brought to the police station in One Ayala in Makati where he was detained, and where he was allegedly persuaded not to speak about the mauling incident.

“Pinicture-an ako tapos [nag-medical] ako.

The following day, Totoy said that Dee and Panlilio arrived at the police station along with a bodyguard. After their discussion with the police, Totoy was questioned again by a policeman regarding Dee’s lost item.

When he insisted that it was not in his possession, Totoy said two policemen brought him to the station’s third floor.

“Binugbog ako ng dalawang pulis sa taas, pinapaamin ako,” he recalled, breaking into tears.

He further alleged that three individuals went to his home, took a photo of his four children, and took his wife’s cellphone.

Kaya lumapit ako dito sa NBI,” he said.

Dee and Ramos, through their legal counsel, have previously denied Totoy’s claims that the actresses illegaly detained the driver at the condo.

Renowned shoe designer Jojo Bragais likewise defended Dee saying she was in Iloilo with them on Jan. 17 when the beating supposedly started.
