Bea Borres laments bashing toward her newborn: ‘Not even 24 hours after my post’

Bea Borres spoke against the bashing directed at the appearance of her firstborn, lamenting how it came not even a day after the baby was introduced to the public.
The celebrity mom shared via her Facebook page on Wednesday, Jan. 28, a screenshot of a netizen’s comment about Borres’ newborn Hope, also called Pea.
“Halatang baby is chaka (The baby is obviously ugly), [laughing out loud],” the netizen said, even when Borres has yet to reveal her child’s face.
In the caption, Borres wrote, “Not even 24 hours after my post, yet Pea already has a basher.”
This prompted the actress-content creator to make an appeal to her loved ones to whom she had sent Hope’s photo.
“To my family and friends who have received pictures of my Hope, [you] know who you are. Ikalat niyo na lahat ng baho ko (spread unpleasant things about me), but not pictures of my baby,” she said.
“May we all have hope for this new year, but for now, this Hope is just mine,” she added. “[Thank you] for all your blessings and good wishes.”
In the comments section, fellow mothers, whose babies also had to be placed in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), expressed their support to Borres and her decision not to share her baby’s face to the public at the moment. Borres’ post has also garnered over 248,000 reactions as of this writing.
Borres gave birth to Hope in December, but only revealed it last Jan. 27 when the latter “graduated” from the NICU. /edv
