Matet de Leon upset as netizens point out Ian de Leon’s absence at brother’s wedding

Matet de Leon was seemingly upset after netizens noted the absence of their brother, Ian de Leon, during the recent wedding of their younger brother Kenneth, claiming this showed cracks in the relationship of children of the late Superstar Nora Aunor.
The former child star took to social media on Monday, January 26, to emphasize that their family is under no obligation to explain family matters, with an appeal to “stop harassing” her brother. She did not specify if she was referring to Ian or Kenneth.
(We have no obligation to explain to all of you because we only choose what we are willing to share with everyone. The rest is up to us.)
On January 21, Matet took to social media to give a glimpse of Kenneth’s wedding which she, her family, and her other siblings elder sister Lotlot and Kiko de Leon attended.
In her recent post, Matet continued to lament the backlash that she and her siblings, Lotlot, Kiko, and Kenneth, continue to face over the past few days.
“Napakadali para sainyo to judge us,” she continued. Ngayon, tatanggalan na namin kayo ng power over our minds.”
(It’s so easy for you to judge us. In truth, we, the four adopted children of our mother, Ms. Nora Aunor, have done nothing right. Now, we will remove your power over our minds.)
(We also apologize to all those who have good comments. We will no longer be able to read them. But thank you for your righteous thoughts and good behavior.)
Matet further warned that unauthorized screenshots or reposts of her statement on certain pages, similar to what she said was done during posts about Kenneth’s wedding, could face legal consequences.
Mga magnanakaw,” she lamented.
(Anyone who screenshots this post of mine and posts it on their pages like you did with my post about Ken’s wedding will be held accountable. Thieves.)
Matet, Lotlot, Kenneth, and Kiko are all adopted children of the late National Artist for Film and Broadcast Arts, who died of acute respiratory failure last April 16, and former partner, veteran actor Christopher de Leon.
During their time together, Christopher and Nora bore a son who they named Ian. Christopher is now married to Sandy Andolong with whom he has other biological children. /edv
