Miss Philippines Earth pageant opens search for 2026 applicants

The search for a new batch of “eco warriors” begins with the call for ladies who dream of inheriting the Miss Philippines Earth crown from reigning queen Joy Barcoma.
“Are you ready to take action for the protection and preservation of our environment, and our beautiful ecotourism?” the national pageant asked on social media on Thursday, Jan. 22.
“Join MISS PHILIPPINES EARTH 2026 and take action to show your love for the environment!” continued the post, which also revealed that the 2026 competition has adopted the theme “Love in Action.”
This year’s contest will be the 26th edition of one of the most enduring national beauty pageants in the country. Miss Philippines Earth was established in 2001 to serve as a platform for “beauties for a cause” whose aim is to protect the planet from environmental degradation.
The Miss Philippines Earth pageant is open to Filipino women who are assigned female at birth, 18 to 26 years old, with a minmun height of 5’4″ and at least a high school graduate.
Applicants should be single, have never gotten married, and have never given birth. They should also be of good moral standing, with “outstanding looks and personality” and “above-average communication skills, and knowledge on and concern for the environment”
The winner of the pageant will represent the country in the 26th edition of the international Miss Earth competition later this year.
