Andre Yllana on Aiko Melendez, Onemig Bondoc’s courtship: ‘Masaya naman sila’
It seems like Andre Yllana expressed his support for the budding romance between his mother Aiko Melendez and Onemig Bondoc, as he has given them his blessing should they decide to get together.
Earlier this month, Bondoc confirmed in a joint TikTok live that he is courting Melendez, although the actress-politician has yet to accept him as her boyfriend.
Weeks later, Andre was asked to comment on the budding romance between Melendez and Bondoc in the press conference for the upcoming series “Hell University,” but he kept his lips sealed on their status.
“Enjoy! Mukha naman po silang masaya eh. So, kung masaya naman po sila, enjoy po. (They seem happy. So if they’re happy, enjoy) You have my blessing,” he said.
With his response, Andre was then asked if he was close to Bondoc. “Pwede na po (We’re okay),” he replied.

Andre also shared that he is grateful for the support he has been receiving from Melendez and his dad, Jomari Yllana. The three of them are also on amicable terms, making the process easier for him.
“Si Mommy po, si Daddy, okay naman po yung relationship namin. Si Mommy, very supportive po. Palaging nagtatanong, ‘Kumusta yung set? Kumusta yung mga eksena?’” he said. “Si Daddy naman po, lagi akong pinu-push na be on time sa set. Pinu-push niya lang po ako na maging ready po sa trabaho at maging professional.”
(Relationship-wise, Mommy, Daddy, and I are okay. Mommy is very supportive. She always asks, “How is the set? How are the scenes?” Daddy would always push me to be on time. He also reminds me always to be prepared and be professional.)
Andre is currently signed with Viva Artists Agency and is set to take on the role of Matthew Hart in “Hell University.”
The upcoming series is an adaptation of the Wattpad novel of the same name, which tells the story of an underground university operating outside of government control. Apart from the usual school activities, students must survive the nightly “Bloody Night” where murders often take place. /ra
