Bea Borres spoke up against a transgender woman social media personality who supposedly “mocked biological women” by joking about being pregnant.

Borres, who is currently pregnant, shared the Facebook post of online personality Vitchisa in which the trans woman responded to netizens asking if she menstruates.

“Sa lahat po ng nagtatanong kung nagreregla ba ako as a transwoman living as a woman, yes po, ngayon buntis ako!” she said sarcastically, sharing an AI-generated photo of herself with a baby bump. “Lahat kayo invited sa viewing pag panganak ko, next month na po!”

(To everyone asking if I menstruate as a trans woman living as a woman, yes, I do. I am even pregnant now. Everyone is invited to the viewing when I give birth next month!)

This did not sit well with Borres as she captioned her reshared post, “As someone who experienced a difficult pregnancy, I find this very disrespectful.”

Borres added a reminder and said, “Biological women and trans women have fought for equality for many years. So let’s not mock each other.”

Vitchisa then addressed Borres’ sentiment, saying she only made a sarcastic response to those questioning her in the same manner.

“Just to be clear, I never claimed to be a biological woman because that’s impossible. I am a trans woman living as a woman,” Vitchisa said.

“I am not mocking womanhood. Kayo nagsimula nito tapos sinagot ko lang (You started this, I just answered)!” she added. “The first post was purely satire!”

Vitchisa also underscored that she is aware of the pain pregnant women suffer, and that she would not mock such. She, at the same time, noted how most people on social media have supposedly become too “sensitive” and would make everything an issue.
