Rufa Mae Quinto sends love to late husband Trevor Magallanes on 10th anniversary

Months have passed since Rufa Mae Quinto bid farewell to Trevor Magallanes, but she still holds special meaning to their relationship, as seen in her heartfelt 10th wedding anniversary message for her late husband.
Quinto shared glimpses of how she raised her daughter Athena with Magallanes on Tuesday, Jan. 13, saying they were “hands on parents” and didn’t hire a house helper.
(These photos show memories of how I gave birth and raised Athena. I was hands on, we didn’t have a yaya. Only the two of us took care of her, helped her grow. We were hands-on parents. This is why being a full-time celebrity feels foreign to me again. I was an ordinary person in America, and being a mom was the most beautiful and happiest time in my life. Thank you for giving me a lifetime of love, Trev!)

The actress-comedienne also shared that they became a couple on Jan. 9, 2016, and tied the knot four days later.
“Happy anniversary! Ganoon Kadali, kagaan at bilis saamin ang Lahat,” she said.
(Happy anniversary! We got together on Jan. 9, 2016, before I returned to the Philippines. I returned to the US on Jan. 13, 2016, to get married and we have been inseparable since. I only spent three days in the Philippines before coming back to San Francisco to get married. It was that easy, light, and things went fast between us.)
To finish her message, Quinto expressed her gratitude to Magallanes for “giving her Athena,” and promised him that she will fulfill the dreams they had for their daughter.
“We miss you physically, pero alam namin kasama ka namin parati . Andyan lang watching our daughter,” she said. Healthy wealthy way to go go go!”
(We miss you, physically. But I know that you’re here with us, watching from above. Please guide me as I fulfill the dreams we have for Athena, and how I’ll raise her to be a cheerful, kind, smart, cute, and funny child. Such a healthy way to go, go, go!)
Quinto confirmed Magallanes’ death in July 2025, saying he died of natural causes.
At the time of his death, the couple were separated, although the actress-comedienne said she “doesn’t regret” marrying him. /ra
