K-pop label Source Music holds first-ever global audition for male trainees

Source Music, the agency that formed LE SSERAFIM and GFRIEND, announced that it is holding its first-ever global audition in search of a new crop of male trainees.
The South Korean music label in a press statement said that its hunt for male trainees will run from Jan. 5 to 25. It also launched the official website of the “SOURCE MUSIC 2026 GLOBAL BOY AUDITION” on the same day.
“Founded on the belief that ‘music with a clear source and reason can truly resonate with the listener’s emotions,’ [it] has built a strong reputation as a label with proven production and management capabilities, having developed global female acts such as GFRIEND and LE SSERAFIM. The label is now looking to extend its production and management expertise to male talent,” it said.
Aspiring male trainees born in 2008 are qualified to join. Since the auditions are open worldwide, there are no restrictions in terms of nationality.
Applicants can submit their entries to its official audition website, and can choose from vocal, rap, dance and any format that showcases their strength, “individuality, and talent.”
The label also announced the auditions through a simultaneous release of its official poster and a video showing a boy singing and dancing along to LE SSERAFIM’s “Antifragile.”

A subsidiary of K-pop powerhouse HYBE, the agency is the home of LE SSERAFIM, which is composed of Kim Chaewon, Sakura, Huh Yunjin, Kazuha, and Hong Eunchae.
It is also the agency behind award-winning girl group GFRIEND, which reunited for the special album “Season of Memories” in January 2025 and held a concert in South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong and Taiwan. /ra
