Andrea Brillantes on rumored new romance: ‘Pwera usog, please lang’
While she has yet to confirm outright her rumored romance with athlete and internet personality Franchesko Juan Capistrano, Andrea Brillantes is already trying to ward of the evil eye the Filipino way.
Capistrano hopped on the “Have you ever been in love?” trend on TikTok on Monday, Jan. 5, in which he showed off photos and clips of him and Brillantes being cozy with each other.
In one of the photos, he can be seen kissing the actress on the cheek while she was all-smiles. The pair was also seen in an embrace.
“Absolutely,” he captioned his post, adding red heart emoji.

Noticeably, Brillantes reposted Capistrano’s video on her TikTok page and even left the comment, “Pwera usog, [please] lang.”
“Pwera usog” is a Filipino superstition believed to repel ill wishes or curses.

Prior to this, Brillantes and Capistrano also welcomed the New Year together at BGC.
The pair sparked romance speculations after they were spotted together on multiple instances. The actress was also seen spending quality time with Capistrano’s family during a Christmas celebration.
The actress was last in a relationship with another basketball player, Phoenix Fuel Masters’ Ricci Rivero, but they uncoupled after a year and three months amid allegations of his infidelity. /edv
