Chie Filomeno spotted cruising with rumored boyfriend Matthew Lhuillier

It seems like Chie Filomeno is ready to go public with her rumored boyfriend, businessman Matthew Lhuillier, after they were seen enjoying a night cruise. 

Filomeno and Lhuillier were spotted enjoying each other’s company on a night cruise on a convertible, as seen in a video by one @kgo102397 on TikTok on Saturday, Dec. 13.

The video showed the uploader recognizing Filomeno before opening her car window to give her a brief greeting. The rumored pair waved to the uploader in response.

Filomeno has long been speculated to be in a relationship with the businessman, a scion of the wealthy Lhuillier clan, since September. While they are mum on their status on social media, they have been spotted together several times in Cebu. 

As reports of their romance made rounds, the actress said that she “found new connections and safe spaces” that she wanted to protect from “unnecessary attention.”

“This time, I’m choosing peace and privacy. And when the time comes, you’ll see what love looks like when it’s nurtured quietly. For now, this is what I can share — my truth, my story, my peace. I hope I won’t have to explain myself again,” she said in a lengthy Instagram statement last October.

The actress previously dated Jake Cuenca, with the latter confirming their split last October. He also shared that there “was no breakup,” although he loved her deeply. /edv
