NewJeans’ Haerin and Hyein are confirmed to return to ADOR, weeks after the Seoul Central District Court ruled that the K-pop quintet’s contracts with the Korean music label are deemed valid.

Haerin and Hyein’s return was confirmed by ADOR in a statement on Wednesday, Nov 12, stating that the decision was made after “thorough discussions” between the agency and the K-pop idols’ families.

“Hello, this is ADOR. Haerin and Hyein of NewJeans have decided to continue their activities with ADOR,” the agency began.

ADOR said it is committed to supporting Haerin and Hyein as they ease back into the label and resume their activities.

The agency also appealed to the public to refrain from engaging in “unfounded speculations” regarding Haerin and Hyein.

“ADOR is committed to providing its full support to Haerin and Hyein to ensure the seamless continuation of their artistic endeavors. We request the warm support from the fans and respectfully urge you to avoid engaging in unfounded speculation regarding the members,” it said.

It remains unknown if Minji, Hanni, and Danielle — who are also part of the NewJeans — will return to the agency. Their camps have yet to issue a statement, as of this writing.

Haerin and Hyein’s return to ADOR comes weeks after the Seoul Central District Court deemed that the contracts of NewJeans are exclusively under the agency after a years-long battle between both camps.

The court didn’t accept NewJeans’ claim of alleged workplace harassment, and that the departure of former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin didn’t count for them to end their contracts with the label.

Following the decision of the court, the quintet’s camp said it will appeal the Seoul Central District Court’s decision, while urging them to “review the facts.” /mcm
