Heart Evangelista’s PA calls out Vice Ganda for throwing shade on ‘It’s Showtime’

Heart Evangelista’s longtime personal assistant Resty Rosell unleashed her fury in a series of posts against Vice Ganda following the latter’s seeming shade against the fashion icon in an episode of “It’s Showtime.”
In the Oct. 24 episode of the noontime show, Vice Ganda spoke about a previous visit to “Evangelista’s province” to help rebuild a school, during a conversation with a contestant who wanted to give her child a good education.
“May pinuntahan akong lugar du’n sa probinsiya nina Heart Evangelista, isang paaralan na walang reading materials. Pinagawa ko ‘yong eskwelahan… Bulok ‘yong paaralan do’n (I visited the province of Heart Evangelista, a school with no reading materials. I helped in rebuilding the school). I cried so much when I saw that school,” he said.
Vice Ganda’s remarks, however, didn’t sit well with Rosell, calling out the “And The Bread Winner Is…” star in a series of Instagram Stories on Sunday, Oct. 26.
“Hindi ka nagpagawa ng paaralan/classroom. Nag-ambag ka lang sa isang ongoing project sa PTA ng Bagacay Elem. School,” Rosell said, adding that the actor-comedian contributed to 60% of the funds, given in three tranches. She also pointed out that the noontime host appeared when the rebuilding of the school was already in progress.
“Inako mo lahat ng credit, na-echapwera ang PTA na nagbayad rin naman doon sa pagpapagawa ng classroom. Tapos nilagay mo pa sa channel mo, at monetized!” she continued.
(You didn’t build a school or classroom. You only contributed to the ongoing project of the PTA of Bagacay Elementary School. You took all the credit and the PTA’s efforts were made worthless. Then you’re going to put it on your channel and it’s monetized.)

Rosell further belied Vice Ganda’s claims that the elementary school was in tatters, even when he knew fully well that it was already undergoing construction, and that reading materials have already been provided. At the same time, she shared that papers, medicine, and other products that the actor-comedian supposedly donated came from a beauty brand which he endorses.
Given that, there was still no need to involve Evangelista in the conversation.
“Kaya naman sa susunod, wag mo idamay si Heart. Kung classroom pala ang issue mo, dumulog ka sa DepEd,” she added. “Bakit mo kailanganing pangalanan si Heart na wala namang ginawa sa’yo? Sa tingin mo hindi sya tumutulong sa tao? Baka talagang maiyak ka nalang kung sasabihin ko sayo.”
(Next time, don’t involve Heart into it. If you’re bothered about the classrooms, take it to DepEd. Why do you have to drag Heart’s name — who didn’t do anything — into this? You think you’re not helping others? You might end up crying with what I’m about to say to you.)

Rosell also responded to her alleged bashers in a follow-up post, seemingly unbothered by the apparent backlash to her outburst.
“Sa mga bashers ko, pinasisikat niyo lang ako. Mamaya magising kayo sikat na sikat na rin ako (To my bashers, you’re only making me famous. You might wake up and see me even more famous),” she said.

Vice Ganda and Evangelista have yet to issue their respective statement on the matter, as of this writing. /edv
