It’s Instagram-official: Lovi Poe is now a mommy after she welcomed her first child with British film producer Monty Blencowe. 

The announcement was made on Friday, Oct. 24, through a video on her Instagram account. Poe was seen cradling her newborn son by the pool.

“The moment I met you, instinct took over. Welcome to the world, my love,” the actress captioned the post.

Poe married Blencowe in an intimate ceremony at Cliveden House in Berkshire, England, in August  2023.

The couple announced their pregnancy in September this year through a post for a clothing brand. 

In May 2024, Poe got candid about the challenges ahead of her upcoming motherhood.

“It’s the most challenging ever. If there’s one thing I would like to do perfectly, it’s to be a good mother,” she said at the time. 

Poe earned critical acclaim for her role in the film “Mayohan,” for which she received a Best Actress award at the 2010 Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival.

Aside from acting, Poe has also recently ventured into film production through her company C’est Lovi Productions.

Most recently, Poe took on the lead role in “Lakambini,” an upcoming biographical film where she portrays Gregoria de Jesús, the “Lakambini ng Katipunan” and wife of revolutionary leader Andres Bonifacio.

Over the years, Poe appeared in the acclaimed projects such as “The Bride and the Lover” (2013), lSomeone to Watch Over Me” (2016), and “Sagrada Familia” (2024), to name a few.

She also appeared in ABS-CBN’s top-rating series FPJ’s “Batang Quiapo,” where she paid tribute to her late father’s legacy.
