Andrea Brillantes inks contract with MQuest Ventures after 15 years with ABS-CBN

Andrea Brillantes has jumped ship as she officially signed a film contract with MQuest Ventures after 15 years of being an ABS-CBN Star Magic artist.
MQuest Ventures gave a glimpse of Brillantes’ contract signing through its Instagram page on Thursday, Oct. 23.
“Welcome to MQuest Ventures, Kapatid [Andrea]. Abangan ang kanyang exciting projects with MQuest Ventures soon!” the caption read.
In an interview with TV5 reporter MJ Marfori after the contract signing, Brillantes teased that she will be more on board doing films than television shows with the Kapatid network.
“Abangan nila!” she said. “If titignan rin ‘yung filmography ko, puro talaga ako teleserye. Ngayon gusto ko na mag-explore at gumawa ng mga movies. Iba rin kasi kapag big screen, iba ‘yung storytelling.”
(Look forward to it. If you look at my filmography, I’ve done a lot of TV series. Now I want to explore and make movies. It’s different on the big screen; the storytelling is different.)

Brillantes, who last starred in ABS-CBN’s “Batang Quiapo,” said she also wants to venture into comedy.
“Feeling ko kaya ko maging comedian kasi puro ako drama, lalo na nung bagets ako. Feeling ko funny ako,” she said.
(I feel like I can be a comedian. All I did before were drama projects, especially when I was a teenager. I feel I’m funny.)
The 22-year-old said that her first project with MQuest is something that she has never done before, and it will be revealed soon.
MQuest is the mother company of TV5 Network. Brillantes is currently managed by Shirley Kuan, the same manager of actress Bea Alonzo.
Brillantes made her television debut in the children’s comedy show “Goin’ Bulilit” in 2010. She then starred in more child star roles before landing her first lead role in “Annaliza,” a remake of the same name originally played by the late actress Julie Vega.
The now Kapatid star last headlined the hit TV series “Senior High” and “High Street.”
