What Miss Grand International 2025 Top 5 queens have to say about online scamming

Online scamming is the focus of the final question-and-answer segment of the Miss Grand International 2025 pageant, with the five candidates sharing their respective views on the penalties that should be imposed on its perpetrators.
Like all pageants, the question-and-answer portion is the final piece of the puzzle that determines the winning queen from the final set of candidates, ultimately resulting in the back-to-back victory for the Philippines through Emma Tiglao’s heartfelt answer.
Here is what the Top 5 candidates have to say about the question, “Scammers are an online threat, a form of online warfare often tied to human trafficking that has global consequences. Countries such as South Korea and the USA have launched severe crackdowns. What penalties do you think could help dismantle these operations?”
Emma Tiglao (Philippines), Miss Grand International 2025
“As someone who reports these kind of stories, I really want to use the power of balance, ask people to be educated and aware for us to not be scammed, and the help of the government to enhance their justice system for the scammers to be behind bars, to be accountable. ‘Cause one day I hope that we will live in a peaceful, peaceful world where no one should deceive just to survive.”
Sarunrat Puagpipat (Thailand), Miss Grand International 2025 first runner-up
“Everyone loves their own life and loves their country. Scammers should be received the severest punishment, namely, death. And their money should be returned to the victim’s family. Our world would be a better place without people like you, scammers. Thank you. Khop Khun kha.”
Aitana Jimenez (Spain), Miss Grand International 2025 second runner-up
“Scammers is a big problem that the society and our world live in. As your next Miss Grand International, I will put more hard work to avoid these problems. Providing mental health support and programs, I would like to help people and recover from trauma. Thank you.”
Faith Porter (Ghana), Miss Grand International 2025 third runner-up
“Online scamming is one of the most dangerous issues facing our society. That is why it is more important than ever that we teach technological advocacy. I’m grateful to be a part of the Miss Grand Ghana organization that provides technology certificates to young women in our country. Because now more than ever, it is important to use technology as a force for good, instead of hate. And through education, we can stop these actions. Thank you.”
Nariman Battikha (Venezuela), Miss Grand International 2025 fourth runner-up
“Every day, we wake up, we work for our dreams, for us, and for people we love. We don’t deserve to be taken everything we possess just for power. Therefore, we have to stop this situation. Remember, the legacy we leave depends on the action that we take today. So, the penalty for me will be that I have to return every money they take from others. Because if we work, we deserve to live the way we live.”
