Chie Filomeno mum on alleged split with Jake Cuenca, rumored BF

While Chie Filomeno has yet to comment on the current status of her relationship with Jake Cuenca, she appealed to the public to refrain from making “intrusive” remarks about her private life.
Filomeno and Cuenca fueled breakup speculations after eagle-eyed netizens noticed that they unfollowed each other on Instagram. However, neither of them addressed the status of their romance at this time.
At the same time, the actress was rumored to have been dating multi-millionaire businessman Matthew Lhuillier, scion of the wealthy Lhuillier clan of Cebu.
On her Instagram Stories on Monday, Sept. 29, Filomeno said she is aware of the speculations hounding her private life.
“I’ve been reading and hearing a lot these past few days, and I ask that my past relationship, my present life, and the Lhuillier family be left out of this issue,” she began, although she didn’t directly confirm if she ended her romance with Cuenca for good.
“They don’t deserve to be dragged into something that has nothing to do with them,” she continued.

The “Can’t Buy Me Love” star also stressed that “no further statements” will be made about her personal affairs.
“No further statements will be made at this time, and I kindly ask that people refrain from speculation or intrusions into my private affairs. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation,” she said.
In a separate Instagram Story, Filomeno reiterated that she is “not public property” despite being a public figure.
“I may be a public figure, but I am not public property. I ask that my private life remain private,” she said.

Filomeno and Cuenca were reported to be in a relationship in 2023, which they eventually confirmed. The actor also shared that the actress was his “the one that got away” at the time. /edv
