Phoebe Walker shares details about upcoming wedding with Rico Robles

Two months after their engagement, actress Phoebe Walker shared that there will be two celebrations for her upcoming wedding with disc jockey Rico Robles.
In a recent quick chat with Inquirer Entertainment, Walker happily shared that she and Robles have already hired their wedding planner for their two celebrations here in the Philippines and abroad.
“We have a wedding planner already, Teena Barreto, who is a close friend of Rico. But definitely, we’ll just have a small wedding. Probably just a legal wedding here. And then the main celebration will be abroad,” she said.
When asked if Robles’ proposal was something that she saw coming, the Filipino-British model admitted that she actually did, considering she knows her boyfriend well enough to know he always has something up his sleeve.

“I kind of was expecting it because it’s our three-year anniversary. I know Rico; he likes announcing things. Because it’s his birthday and our anniversary together. So I know that on his birthday, he announces something. And we’re already talking about the next step of our relationship. So I was sort of expecting it,” she said.
“I just didn’t expect the moment itself. I don’t know if you saw the video, but our guesting was fake. So it was fake, and then he proposed live on air. So I really didn’t expect it. I thought it would have been a more private moment,” added the actress.
With the wedding just around the corner, Walker said that she plans to dive into building a family right after, expressing her hope to be blessed with at least one baby.
“I’m ready. Because I’m in my early 30s. So biologically, I think I’m ready to have just one baby. That’s what I always tell the Lord: just one baby. Hopefully, next year,” she expressed.

When asked how she knew that Robles was the one, Walker shared that their “personalities just jive, and they have a lot of fun.”
“I really trust him with everything that’s happening to me. He won’t judge me. I can tell him all my deepest, darkest thoughts. I think that’s most important when you find a partner in life who accepts both the good and bad things about you,” she said.
Despite being surrounded by breakup news in show business, Walker underscored that she’s not worried about the negative things and just focuses on what’s more important: their relationship.
“There are people who would doubt us. Not everyone will be supportive or happy for you. Because we’re in show biz. But let’s just do our own thing. Because at the end of the day, we’re the ones who are together. We know our relationship. I just put everything in faith. I throw all my doubts and worries to God,” she said.
Walker rose to fame after she topped TV5’s “The Amazing Race Philippines” and won Best Supporting Actress at the 2017 Metro Manila Film Festival for her role as Sister Cecilia in Erik Matti’s “Seklusyon.”
She is set to appear in the Andres Muhlach and Ashtine Olviga-starrer “Minamahal,” which will premiere on Sept. 24. Walker is also starring in the vertical series “Mama Sita,” which will debut in October. /ra
