Small Laude on ‘ghost project’ issue in PH: ‘I’m paying my taxes properly, shame on you guys’

Socialite Small Laude has joined the public in voicing out her frustration over the alleged “ghost projects” in the government’s flood control system.
In the latest episode of her vlog, Laude threw shade at the government officials involved in the alleged corruption after she encountered a “ghost driver” while booking a robotaxi service in Los Angeles.
“Ghost driver naman siya. Pero at least, it’s not a ghost project. I’m paying my taxes properly. Shame on you guys. Kawawa naman ang Pinoy (Poor Filipinos),” she said.
Laude’s remarks came as the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee and the House of Representatives continue investigations into the Department of Public Works and Highways’ (DPWH) multibillion-peso flood control program, with at least 60 projects now suspected to be “ghost projects.”
Beyond her socialite status and prominent business clan, Laude has built a following as a vlogger and content creator as she documents her lifestyle on her vlog. She is married to Philip Laude, whose family owns a confectionery company. Her sister, Alice Eduardo, also runs one of the country’s major construction firms.
Meanwhile, Dingdong Dantes, Carla Abellana, Edu Manzano, Anne Curtis, Bianca Gonzalez, Nadine Lustre, Mika Salamanca, Kris Bernal, Gabbi Garcia, Jodi Sta. Maria, Sarah Geronimo, Matteo Guidicelli, Andi Eigenmann, Karylle, MJ Lastimosa, among others, have earlier expressed their frustration over corruption in the use of funds for flood control projects.
Iza Calzado was among the latest celebrities who expressed her shared rage with Filipinos toward corruption in the country as she lamented that it’s hard to witness problems unfold in the Philippines while she’s away and currently stays in England. /edv
