Bea Alonzo reiterated that she has “nothing to clarify” and wants to keep her relationship with business tycoon Vincent Co private, in response to rumors that they are getting engaged.
Alonzo clarified the allegations of her supposed engagement with Co on the Sept. 12 broadcast of 24 Oras, adding that she “has nothing to say” about it.
“Alam mo, inuunahan ng mga tao ang lahat ng pangyayari sa buhay ko (You know, a lot of people are pre-empting certain events in my life). I have nothing to clarify, and I want to keep things private. There’s nothing to say, actually. I’m very happy,” she said.
The actress also pointed out that she has no plans to do a “grand reveal” of their romance.
“Huwag na kayo maghintay kasi wala namang grand reveal. I want to focus on my personal life being private right now. Parang feeling ko, ang dami kong natutunan sa pinagdaanan ko sa buhay and I want to keep my personal stuff really private this time,” she said.
(You don’t have to wait because there won’t be a grand reveal. I want to focus on my personal life being private right now. I feel like I learned a lot from my experiences in life, so I want to keep my personal life really private this time.)
On John Lloyd Cruz
Alonzo also laughed when she was asked about her recent interaction with former onscreen partner John Lloyd Cruz on Instagram, wherein the latter invited her and Co to a meal.
“Nakakatawa lang si Idan — as I call him — nakalimutan niya ata na nagwha-WhatsApp or nagva-Viber kami, at may number kami [ng isa’t isa]… nakalimutan niya ata na maraming ways na [mag-message],” she said.
(Idan — as I call him — is funny. I think he forgot that we talk through WhatsApp and Viber, and we have each other’s numbers. I think he forgot that we can message each other in a lot of ways.)
The actress admitted that while there have been “no plans” for a reunion project with Cruz at the moment, both of them have never lost out on offers. She explained that it’s only a matter of getting the “right project” that represents both of them.
“To be fair naman, parang hindi naman nawawalan ng offer pagdating sa aming dalawa So, siguro naghahanap lang kami ng tamang proyekto na pareho that we both can agree on (To be fair, both of us always get offers. We’re just looking for the right project that we can both agree on.) And something that would represent us right now, where we are at in our lives,” she said.
Alonzo confirmed her romance with Co to her home network last August. The two of them were rumored to be in a relationship since early 2025, following multiple sightings, including a trip in August and events hosted by the latter’s supermarket chain. /edv
