‘Busong’ wins in US fest

Filipino filmmaker Auraeus Solito’s “Busong” won two awards at the recent Santa Rosa International Film Festival in Sonoma County, California. According to Solito, “Busong” won a special award for artistic achievement and the Terroir of Cinema Award. The fest website says “terroir” is a wine-making term that refers to a “unique quality that links wine to a particular place,” since “film… reflects the roots of filmmakers.” Bayani San Diego Jr.
