Ciara Sotto tells dad Tito Sotto: ‘May God keep working through you’
Ciara Sotto has nothing but well-wishes for her dad Tito Sotto who returned as Senate president after Sen. Francis “Chiz” Escudero was ousted Monday, Sept. 8.
The actress celebrated her dad by showing him with her mom, actress Helen Gamboa, through her Instagram page on Monday.
“Came home to this! Congrats Tatay,” Ciara said in the caption.
“May God keep working through you… and may you keep honoring Him in everything you do. I love you so much!” she added.

Aside from Ciara, several celebrities including Aga Muhlach, Pokwang, Angeline Quinto and Shaira Diaz also took to the comments section to express their delight over Sotto’s return as Senate president.
Tito, who previously served as the Senate minority leader, reclaimed his old position after earning the support of 14 out of his 24 colleagues.
Tito replaced Escudero who, according to a Senate source, was ousted because of his stalling the impeachment trial of Vice President Sara Duterte and his connection with one of the private contractors flagged for allegedly anomalous flood control projects.
“As I said before, I will do everything in my capacity to ensure that this Senate will remain cooperative but independent, balanced, transparent and sincere,” Tito said. /ra
