The actress-host further said she has her husband’s back, while reiterating that he has been “doing his best” as a public servant.

“I am with my husband in this. Wala siyang ginagawang masama sa loob. He has been doing his best to serve the people of his district in Quezon City since the beginning,” she said. “I sincerely hope and pray that the people who are TRULY responsible will be held accountable and that innocent individuals be spared from this mess. Mendoza’s remarks came hours after Atayde defended himself from the ongoing controversy in a statement on his Instagram Story, where he stressed that he didn’t “benefit from a contractor.”
