Sister Act? Vina Morales wants to work with Shaina Magdayao again

Vina Morales expressed her excitement to work with her sister, Shaina Magdayao, in a future project, adding that she’s proud of the latter’s milestones in her career.
Morales and Magdayao’s last project together was an episode of the anthology drama “Maalaala Mo Kaya” in 2007, where they starred as sisters Onay and Elsa, respectively. Their closeness, however, was put to the test when they were driven away by fate and would meet several years later.
Since then, the veteran singer has yet to reunite with her younger sister.
“You know what, I would be happy and I’m very excited if that will come. Hindi lang siguro sa teleserye, even in a movie. The last time was, I think, ‘Maalaala Mo Kaya’… magkapatid kaming dalawa and hindi na nasundan,” Morales said during a Star Magic Spotlight press conference.

Despite this, Morales said she is rooting for Magdayao’s success in her entertainment projects, saying she would be happy with whatever opportunities come.
“I’m very happy with what’s happening in her life. May project siya palagi, hindi siya nawawalan. Tapos rumaraket din siya sa pagkanta. I’m happy that she’s doing well and she’s healthy. Kung ano mang proyekto ‘yan, kung kanya-kanya kami and meron kaming project together, I would be happy,” she said.
(I’m very happy with what’s happening in her life. She always has projects, and she doesn’t miss out on one. She even sings. I’m happy that she’s doing well and she’s healthy. Whatever the project is, either we would be apart or it would feature us together, I would be happy.)
Apart from performing in concerts and music shows, Morales is one of the lead stars of “Cruz vs. Cruz.”
Meanwhile, Magdayao currently stars as Atty. Leah Rivera in the mystery drama “Sins of the Father.”
