Sharon Cuneta, Kiko Pangilinan’s daughter Frankie joins Senate foundation as youth chair
Sharon Cuneta and Sen. Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan’s daughter, Simone Francesca Emmanuelle “Frankie” Pangilinan, has officially joined the Senate Spouses Foundation Inc. (SSFI) as the chairperson of the committee on youth.
Frankie took her oath before Senate President Francis “Chiz” Escudero, alongside members of the SSFI, at the Tolentino Room of the Senate of the Philippines in Pasay City on Thursday, Aug. 14.
Joining Frankie in the oath-taking were Heart Evangelista, who was re-elected as the Foundation’s president; Mariel Padilla; and Ciara Sotto, among others.
Following her appointment, Cuneta took to Instagram to express how proud she was of her daughter.
“So proud of my baby girl!!!” the Megastar captioned the post alongside Frankie’s photo and a copy of her oath.
In the comments section, friends and family, including celebrities Bianca Gonzalez and Jackie Lou Blanco, extended their congratulations to Frankie.

Frankie, who has always been vocal about social issues, said in a previous interview that entering politics was never in her plans.
“I understood that’s how people actually are. Every time you get politically involved, it means you have ambition… you have an interest at least, and I never was that kind of person,” she said at the time.
“As a Filipino, you want to change the problems in the Philippines, and I think that’s just really it, as a Filipino and not as anyone’s child,” she added.
