BINI files complaint against undisclosed party, posted screenshot shows
P-pop girl group BINI appears to have taken legal action against an unidentified individual, based on a screenshot of what seems to be their formal complaint that their supposed lawyer, Atty. Joji Alonso, posted on social media.
Alonso took to Instagram on Thursday night, Aug. 14, to share a screenshot showing an excerpt of the legal document listing the members of BINI as complainants in an unspecified case and with the respondent’s name not shown.
The listed names of the complainants are Gwenth Apulli, Mariah Queen Arceta, Sheena Mae Catacutan, Mikhaela Janna Lim, Mary Loi Yves Ricalde, Jhoanna Christine Robles, Stacey Aubrey Sevilleja and Ma. Nicolette Vergara, collectively known as the members of BINI.
Despite no respondent being named in the screenshot, netizens speculate that it could be internet personality Christian “Xian” Gaza, who recently made unpleasant remarks about one of BINI’s members.
In a now-deleted post, Gaza targeted one of the members of the Filipino girl group through a blind item alluding to the girl’s personal life.
“Gen Z, it’s okay to have sex as long as you use condoms to avoid getting pregnant. Especially that member of BINI who likes to have sex,” he wrote in Filipino.
Gaza is known as a self-confessed investment scammer. In 2018, he was convicted on 11 counts of violating the Bouncing Check Law in connection with a ₱2.6 million investment scheme.
BINI rose to fame for their hits “Pantropiko,” “Karera,” “Lagi,” “Huwag Muna Tayong Umuwi,” “Cherry on Top” and “Blink Twice,” among others. /ra
