Heaven Peralejo confirmed that she and Marco Gallo have ended their relationship, although she is still open to working with him on future projects.
The actress confirmed their breakup in an interview with entertainment journalist MJ Marfori via TikTok on Thursday, July 24, saying their split was a “mutual decision” and that they are still good friends.
“We’re not together anymore. It was a mutual decision to move forward individually, so we’re okay. We’re good friends,” she said.
“Sana maintindihan ‘yun ng mga nagmamahal sa’min and tuloy-tuloy pa rin ang pag-suporta kahit we’re on a different path na (I hope our decision will be understood by those who love us, and they will keep on supporting us even if we’re on a different path),” she continued.
Peralejo assured that she and Gallo have no problem continuing on their onscreen tandem MarVen, since they have always been on good terms. Despite this, she said that they have to “give each other to breathe” at the moment.
“Before naman naging kami, we were good friends. ‘Yun ang foundation namin and tsaka, it was a mutual decision (Before we got together, we were good friends. That was our foundation, and our breakup was a mutual decision),” she said.
“As of the moment, we have to give time to each other to breathe and everything like that, but once we see each other and when we see each other, okay kami. Parang walang nagbago (Nothing changed). We can still work together,” she further explained.
Noting her loved ones and close friends as her “support network,” Peralejo will focus on the series adaptation of “I Love You Since 1892” since she’s one of its lead stars.
“Masaya po ako na may proyekto na (I’m happy to be working on a project like) ‘I Love You Since 1892’ so I’m just excited to play Carmela and Carmelita,” she said.
Peralejo and Gallo were romantically linked together in 2023, although they went Instagram official in November 2024. It remains unknown how the ex-partners got together.
The ex-couple first worked together in the romantic-comedy series “The Rain In España,” an adaptation of the Wattpad novel of the same name. Other projects include “Men Are From QC, Women Are From Alabang,” “Safe Skies, Archer,” “Chasing in the Wild,” and “Avenues of the Diamond.”
“The Rain In España” is part of the platform’s “The University Series,” a collection of stories written by Gwy Saludes, which have been adapted into a digital series by Viva. /mr
