Maris Racal appeared to have gotten confused about a question in one of the segments of the game show “Rainbow Rumble,” which featured a song by the 80s American pop group, “Breakfast Club.”

On the July 14 episode of the game show, Racal looked shocked when she picked out a question selected for her by filmmaker Antoinette Jadaone, which show master Luis Manzano read, and which the actress was supposed to supply the answer.

“Complete the hit song of the ‘80s American pop group Breakfast Club: Rico blank,” Manzano said.

“What? Rico, what?” a visibly flustered Racal replied, seemingly unsure of what to say. The audience roared in amusement. It then dawned on the “Sunshine” star what the question was pertaining to, realizing that it was not referring to her ex-boyfriend, musician Rico Blanco.

“Maris, it’s not him, okay,” Manzano said in jest, referring to Blanco.

The correct answer was eventually given by Meryll Soriano.

Racal and Blanco were together for five years, although they went public with their romance a few years later. They eventually split up in July 2024.

She then became entangled in an affair with her “Can’t Buy Me Love” co-star Anthony Jennings, who was then with his non-showbiz ex-girlfriend Jam Villanueva.

Villanueva then bared the intimate details of Jenning and Racal’s relationship, prompting the latter to come clean in a video statement last December.

Following her explosive revelation, Racal admitted that she had regrets about her past relationships, although it was unknown if she was referring to Blanco or Jennings. She nevertheless stated that she would rather keep them to herself. /edv
