Will Ashley on ‘PBB’ Big Night hug with Bianca de Vera: ‘May pinagsamahan kami’

Will Ashley has nothing but gratitude to the fans of his team-up with Bianca de Vera, dubbed as WillCa, saying he did not expect that their friendly hug during the “Pinoy Big Brother” Big Night would become a trending topic on social media.

Ashley spoke about this during his and his fellow former housemate Ralph de Leon’s interview on the morning talk show “Unang Hirit” on Friday, July 11.

The topic was brought up after show hosts Suzie Entrata-Abrera and Shaira Diaz asked the actors to react to their viral photos and memes from when they were inside the “PBB” house.

Among those that flashed on the screen was when Ashley and De Vera shared a hug on the Big Night stage while some of their fellow housemates cheered for them.

“It was so unexpected,” he said of the overwhelming support he and De Vera received.

Speaking about their friendship, Ashley added, “Well, Bianca and I have been close friends.”

He also addressed the supporters and said, “Thank you so much to those who support our uniqueness and genuineness.”

Diaz also teased Ashley by alluding to De Vera’s confession to Big Brother about how she “really really really” cared about the actor two years ago.

It can be recalled that Ashley and De Vera worked together in the ABS-CBN and GMA’s collaboration series “Unbreak My Heart,” which aired in 2023.

During their stint inside the “PBB” house, Ashley opened up to De Vera about how he felt like he was just a “taping friend” for the actress. De Vera denied this and even admitted that there was “tension and attraction” between them at the time.

“It never came to a point that we confessed our feelings to each other. We never talked about it,” De Vera told Big Brother. “I myself did not want to acknowledge it at the time, but I really really really really really really cared about him two years ago.”

Meanwhile, De Vera is being romantically linked to their fellow former housemate, actor Dustin Yu. /ra
