With Mitena (Rhian Ramos) imprisoning two of the three remaining Sang’gres and taking the reign over Encantadia, the enchanted realm has been in turmoil.

Here’s a quick recap of what happened in the GMA TV series in the past three weeks:

Mitena, the twin sister of Cassiopeia (Solenn Heussaff), became the queen of Mine-A-Ve after she turned into a powerful warrior through the help of Ether (Janice Hung).

FEATURED STORIES

Cassiopeia, who was unaware she had a twin who was thrown out of the kingdom due to a belief that she was cursed, foresaw her approaching death at the hands of Mitena.

After being informed of the looming battle led by Mitena, Sang’gres Pirena (Glaiza de Castro) and Alena (Gabbi Garcia) trained their children Flamarra (Faith Da Silva) and Adamus (Kelvin Miranda) to become warriors to protect the realm.

Meanwhile, Danaya (Sanya Lopez) was tasked by the Queen of Lireo, Hara Cassandra (Michelle Dee), to leave Encantadia and move to the world of mortals with her husband Aquil (Rocco Nacino) and daughter Gaeia (Cassandra Lavarias).

Danaya tried to help those in need by giving them gold, but this put their family in danger. While Danaya was mining for gold in a cave, Aquil and Gaeia were attacked at home by armed men looking for gold. The father and daughter were killed in the encounter. Danaya then sought revenge and killed those who murdered her family.

Devastated from the loss, Danaya lived as a stray dog and was eventually adopted by Theo, a human who had also lived alone after losing his family from an accident. The Sang’gre later revealed herself to him, then they had a child together named Terra (Juharra Asayo).

Meanwhile, in Encantadia, Cassiopeia tried to apologize to Mitena to prevent the latter’s plan to attack the kingdom. Fueled with deep anger and resentment, Mitena did not accept the apology.

Mitena proceeded in attacking Lireo with her army from Mine-A-Ve—among them was Deia (Angel Guradian), who is the daughter of one of Mitena’s trusted soldiers.

Mitena defeated Hara Cassandra and stole the “Brilyante ng Hangin” from her.

During the battle, Mira (Kate Valdez) and Lira (Mikee Quintos) were killed; Alena and her daughter Hara Armea (Ysabel Ortega) were trapped in a crystal by Mitena; while Flamarra and Adamus were able to flee to a safe place. Mitena also took the “Brilyante ng Tubig” from Alena.

Danaya, along with her human husband, returned to Lireo and left their daughter under the care of midwife Mona (Manilyn Reynes). Danaya then battled with Mitena’s army, which resulted in the death of the former’s husband.

Pirena, on the other hand, came face-to-face with Mitena. Danaya helped her sister, giving her the opportunity to escape. Danaya was defeated by Mitena and was trapped in a crystal as well. The “Brilyante ng Lupa” was taken by the latter.

Mitena took over Lireo—and eventually the whole Encantadia—and forced its people to pledge their loyalty to her. She later faced Cassiopeia and imprisoned her as well.

Pirena, Flamarra and Adamus were supposed to go to the world of mortals to find Danaya’s daughter, but Mitena and her soldiers caught up to them. Flamarra and Adamus hid while Pirena faced Mitena. A severely wounded Pirena was able to cross through the tunnel to the world of the mortals, but she lost the “Brilyante ng Apoy” to Mitena.

Pirena then received treatment from the dwarves after Amihan (Kylie Padilla) prayed for her from Devas, the counterpart of heaven in Encantadia. However, Pirena has remained unconscious for eight years.

Meanwhile, back in Encantadia, Mitena was informed of a prophecy that her reign will be ended by a savior in the form of Terra.

Terra grew up with Mona, unaware that Mitena’s soldiers have been looking for her. As she encountered hardships, she received help from dwarves and animals who know that she is a young Sang’gre. She also met an individual, apparently from Encantadia, who would train her to fight.
