Three months after announcing they were expecting their first child, Diana Mackey and Kiefer Ravena lost their baby to a miscarriage. Despite this, the couple remains hopeful to try again in “God’s grace.”
The newlyweds briefly spoke about losing their baby on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” on Monday, June 30, in a bid to end speculations about the beauty queen’s pregnancy.
“Shortly after announcing it, [sometime] in March, I think a week after announcing it or two weeks, we lost the baby, unfortunately, at seven weeks,” said the beauty queen.
Chiming in, Ravena said they believe in “God’s plan, timing, and grace,” and that Mackey’s health is what matters most.
“But you know, [we believe in] God’s plan, God’s timing, best thing siguro that happened is now she’s healthy. Hopefully, with God’s grace, we can try again and see where it takes us. Life goes on,” he said.
During the interview, the couple shared that they will be having a second wedding in Palawan when the topic of wedding hashtags came about.
“We have a one fun [wedding hashtag] para sa August wedding namin. That’s a different hashtag,” Mackey said.
Ravena added that the wedding will be held in El Nido, noting that it was in Palawan where he felt that Mackey is the person he’d spend the rest of his life with.
“We’re gonna have one soon [because] in Palawan, that’s where I really felt it, that she was gonna be the one,” he said. “We wanted to bring [it] back and celebrate a good time in Palawan, in El Nido, with our friends over there in Angkla. Just to bring back and share how we all started and celebrate it with our friends.”
Mackey and Ravena went public with their relationship in October 2024 and announced their engagement three days later.
The couple tied the knot in June after a whirlwind romance. /ra
