Yen Santos teases showbiz comeback after 4-year hiatus

It seems like Yen Santos is gearing up for her showbiz comeback after she was spotted filming for something on social media.
Santos took to her Instagram account on Saturday, May 10, to share a photo of herself while being filmed for an undisclosed project. However, she didn’t reveal if she was for a series, a film, or a commercial.
“Day 1. The joy of being back,” she captioned her post.

The actress has been on a break from showbiz for four years, although she has yet to disclose the reasons behind her hiatus. She was previously in a relationship with TV host-actor Paolo Contis, and they were accused of cheating, as he was then still with actress LJ Reyes.
The Kapuso star, however, denied the allegations, stating he was no longer with Reyes when he and Santos started dating. The pair eventually went public with their relationship in January 2023.
Santos and Contis sparked breakup rumors in 2024 after netizens noticed that they unfollowed each other on Instagram. Without confirming their split outright, the actor-comedian revealed that he was “single” in November 2024.
The actress’ last project was the 2021 film “A Faraway Land,” which also starred Contis. She is also best known for her appearances in the dramas “Halik,” “Wildflower,” and “Pure Love,” to name a few. /edv
