Sanya Lopez says brother Jak Roberto still single after split with Barbie Forteza

Sanya Lopez shared that her brother Jak Roberto is still single, almost three months after his split with Barbie Forteza.

Lopez told reporters after the recent media conference for her upcoming film “Samahan ng mga Makasalanan” that she believes his brother has no new romantic interest yet.

“Nung nagkita rin kasi kami, wala akong nafi-feel sa kaniya na meron siya. Feeling ko nandoon siya sa moment na ini-enjoy pa niya ‘yung pagiging single kasi seven years sila ni Barbie,” she said.

The “Encantadia” actress underscored that if ever the time comes that Roberto and Forteza find their respective new partners, it is their decision to make.

“Totoo naman ‘yon na hindi biro na magkaroon ka ng karelasyon na seven years. Pero kung saan naman sila pareho happy at magkataon man na magkaroon sila ng bagong magpapasaya sa kanila, [sa kanila na ‘yon],” she explained.

Lopez also shared that she and Forteza saw each other at the recent GMA Thanksgiving, but did not talk about anything related to the breakup.

“Nag-congratulate lang kami sa isa’t-isa kasi of course nanalo siya, ganon,” she shared. “I respect their breakup. Kung ano man ‘yung issue na pinagdaanan nila, kung ano man, it’s between Barbie and my kuya. Hindi ako ‘yung tipo ng tao na sasali.”

The 28-year-old actress also made a comment about the viral old video of hers in which she said she felt like Roberto and Forteza would eventually separate. 

“Nasabi ko lang ‘yon because kapatid ko siya. As magkapatid, binubully mo ‘yung kapatid mo kasi ako parang feeling ko that time na hindi sila mag-bibreak so I’m confident to say it. Of course masakit pero may mga bagay na hindi talaga sila ‘yung nagtatapos,” she clarified.

After seven years of dating, Roberto and Forteza called it quits last January.

Meanwhile, Lopez currently stars opposite David Licauco in “Samahan ng mga Makasalanan.” In the film, her character, Mila, is a priest (Licauco) seducer. 

Aside from the duo, the film also features Joel Torre, Buboy Villar, Chariz Solomon, Betong Sumaya, Euwenn Mikaell and more. It will premiere in local cinemas on April 19.
