Kim Atienza figured in a road accident while riding his motorcycle on the way home from work, with the TV host recalling how he flew over his handlebars and heard a “loud crack” when he hit the ground.

Atienza narrated the incident while showing a radiograph of his broken rib through his Instagram page on Thursday, March 6.

“Thank you Lord for my 4th life!” he began. “Riding home from work a huge dog darted straight to my path, making me crash. I flew 8 feet over my handlebars hitting the pavement with a thud. I heard a loud crack and knew something was broken.”

“As I laid on the street stunned, miracle of miracles, in seconds, a fully staffed ambulance arrived giving me first aid and stopping the cars from running me over,” he continued.

Atienza said members of the non-profit organization Fire Emergency Paramedic Assistance Group (FEPAG) EMS Philippines, who were incidentally behind him on the road when the accident happened, immediately came to his rescue and rushed him to an emergency room.

Atienza’s wife, Felicia, and their daughter Emman then arrived at the hospital and took care of the TV host.

“I’m on pain meds now, off work and off riding for a few days till my rib heals,” he said.

“God loves me so much. I could’ve broken my spine or banged my head leaving me with graver injuries (or death) but all I have is a broken rib,” he added. “I could’ve been run over in the dark if not for the off duty FEPAG boys stopping traffic for me.”

Atienza expressed his gratitude to God, his family and the “angels and good Samaritans” who extended their help.

“I have nothing in my heart but Gratitude. Life is good. God is good all the time,” he concluded.
