Rufa Mae Quinto tears up, exclaims after release on bail: ‘Go go go home!’
Rufa Mae Quinto was released from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) custody on Thursday, Jan. 9, after she posted bail amounting to P1.7 million.
“Naniniwala po ako na justice is very fair. So kaya uuwi na ako. Go go go home!” the elated actress-comedian told members of the media, as seen in a “24 Oras” report.
Quinto, who is facing 14 counts of violation of Section 8 of the Securities Regulation Code for her prior endorsement of embattled skincare company Dermacare, turned emotional during the interview as she admitted feeling anxious over being involved in a legal matter.
Nonetheless, the actress underscored her belief that the truth will prevail.
In a separate post on her Facebook page, Quinto expressed her gratitude for the support she has been receiving amid this ordeal.

Article continues after this advertisementQuinto arrived in the Philippines from the United States on Wednesday, Jan. 8. She voluntarily surrendered to the NBI and immediately processed her bail, although she was not able to finish it on the same day after her blood pressure shot up.
Quinto earlier maintained her innocence, with her legal counsel saying the actress is also a “victim” as the skincare company had yet to pay her endorsement fee.
